DigiCert EV Code Signing Certificate is DigiCert’s extended-validation signing product for software publishers. Keys are issued to hardware. EV is the stricter identity review and the SKU teams name when they want DigiCert EV code signing (including historical SmartScreen reputation behaviour). It does not create a website padlock and does not replace Microsoft driver attestation or Apple notarization.
