How is this different from LaCie Portable SSD?
Both are travel USB-C SSDs with similar speed classes. Mobile SSD Secure adds password-activated AES-256 hardware encryption (LaCie Secure) and Space Grey styling; Portable SSD is Moon Silver without that Secure encryption focus. Quote the variant your security policy needs.
Does encryption slow transfers?
Hardware AES-256 encryption is designed to protect data at rest with password activation. Peak throughput still depends on the host USB/Thunderbolt port and capacity — confirmed against your workflow on quote.
Will it work with iPhone 15 for ProRes?
