Why teams use CodeGuard with Crozsi

Off-site copies of files and databases, restore, and change alerts. Works with WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento, and other stacks that expose FTP/SFTP plus MySQL or Microsoft SQL — or WordPress via plugin. The WordPress plugin path uses more storage than FTP/SFTP. If you will backup via the plugin, Premium or higher is the usual fit. We respond to quote requests within 1 business day on business days.

01 · Connect

After the licence is live, connect via SFTP (preferred) or FTP, or install the WordPress plugin. FTP paths usually need CodeGuard’s current allow-list IPs on the host firewall. The plugin does not need those IPs.

02 · Backup

CodeGuard pulls files and MySQL or Microsoft SQL on a schedule (daily is typical) and on demand. Differentials save space versus storing identical full copies every time. Retention is commonly about 90 days — confirm on the quote.

03 · Monitor

Change alerts flag unexpected file changes. Malware scanning is a CodeGuard product feature; it does not replace a WAF (SiteLock / cWatch) or a TLS certificate.

04 · Restore

Restore the full site, selected files, or download a zip. Time to recover depends on site size and host — we do not promise a one-click fix in seconds.

Granular restore avoids rolling the entire property back when one deploy went wrong. Zip download is there when you want a local copy.

Git-backed versioning (SHA-1 hashed backups) helps you inspect diffs. ChangeAlert notifies you of source changes. MalwareGone scanning is CodeGuard’s malware feature — not a guarantee every threat is removed.

Host-only backups sit next to the site. CodeGuard stores copies on AWS with AES-256 at rest. That is the 3-2-1 idea: keep a copy somewhere the compromised host cannot delete.
